How to Celebrate the 4th of July with Decor!

Posted by Missy Parsons on

Incorporating red, white, and blue into your decor is a fantastic way to celebrate the 4th of July or show your patriotism. Here are some ideas on how to do it:

1. Table Settings: Use a red tablecloth as the base and add white plates, blue napkins, and red or blue utensils. You can also use a white tablecloth and add red and blue table runners or placemats.

2. Centerpieces: Create centerpieces using a mix of red, white, and blue elements. For example, arrange red and white flowers in a blue vase or fill a clear glass bowl with red and blue decorative balls, topped with a white candle.

3. Pillows and Throws: Add red, white, and blue pillows and throws to your couch or chairs. Look for ones with patriotic patterns, stars, or stripes.

4. Candles: Use red, white, and blue candles to add a touch of color to your decor. Place them on tables, mantels, or shelves. Consider using candle holders in those colors as well.

5. Curtains and Drapes: Swap out your regular curtains with red or blue ones and use white tiebacks or curtains with a white pattern. Already have white curtains?  Add a red and white tieback to instantly add a patriotic touch to your windows.

6. Rugs and Doormats: Choose rugs or doormats in red, white, or blue to greet your guests as they enter your home. Look for designs that feature stars, stripes, or patriotic motifs.

7. Art and Crafts: Get creative and make your own red, white, and blue decorations. Create paper stars, garlands, or banners using colored construction paper or cardstock. Hang them around your space for a homemade touch.

8. Flowers and Plants: Place red, white, and blue flowers in vases or plant patriotic-colored flowers in your garden or pots. Look for varieties like red roses, white daisies, or blue hydrangeas.

Remember, you don't have to use all three colors in equal proportions. Feel free to mix and match based on your preferences and the overall look you want to achieve. Have fun decorating!
